He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean; his parents, Leon Roets and Betty Waterman Roets Pringle; his brothers, Dean, Gerry, James and John; his brother-in-law Chuck Hurley; and his grandsons, Wallenhorst II of Larry and Lee Benedict.
He is survived by: his stepmother Donna Roets; his siblings, Shirley Hurley, Carol Walker (Don), Lee, Roger (Marjorie) and Alan (Vickie Nate); his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Jackie Roets; and his children, Dick Roets (Chris), Bonnie D'Ercole (Chris), Linda Benedict (Larry), Tom Roets (Kim), Sheila Wallenhorst (Mike), Julie Letta and Tim Roets (Ally). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
