She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred James and Minnie Viola Taman (Bates); her husband Joseph A. Smykla; her daughter-in-law Marilee Smykla (Maryhugh); and her grandson Brandon M. Smykla.
She is survived by: her children, Adam J. Smykla (Michele), Kathleen A. Lavancha (Ronald) and Michael J. Smykla (Lisa); her grandson Anthony E. Smykla; and her sons, Brock A. Smykla and Shane R. Smykla.
