We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2024, at the age of 54, Thomas R. Torres of Lynbrook, New York, born in Manhasset, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Matthew Torres and Carol Ann Kelly. He is survived by: his girlfriend Myrna Mattar; his stepson Carson Mattar; his daughter Corrine Marie Torres; his sister Dorothea Schiller; his niece Kaitlyn Schiller; and his uncle Jimmy Reyes.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, Inc. (34 Hempstead Ave, Lynbrook, NY 11563, USA). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Parish of Saint Barnabas the Apostle (2320 Bedford Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710). A burial was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood (111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590).
The family kindly asks that donations be made in Tommy's name to the American Kidney Fund, continuing his legacy of caring for others even in his absence.
