Lydia Casamassima Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia Casamassima (Lynbrook, New York), who passed away on January 11, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmela DeLuca and Carlo DeLuca; her husband Frank; and her son Michael (Lillian). She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmy, Sonny, Mary and Dottie; her close friend Frank; her children, Pius and Lydia; her sister Helen; her children, Donna (Rick), Frank (Rosanne) and Lynn (Bill); her grandchildren, Nicole, Christine, Jessica, Michael, Alexis, Christiana, Christopher and Kristian; and her great grandchildren, Tony, Ryan, Cassi, Addison, Isobelle and Olivia.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, Inc. (34 Hempstead Ave, Lynbrook, NY 11563, USA). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church (65 Wright Ave, Malverne, NY 11565). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the St. Charles Cemetery (2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
