She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Andy; her daughters, Patricia Valvano (Joseph) and Andrea Cassidy (Steven); and her grandchildren, Jessica, Danielle, Joseph Valvano, Stefani, Tara and Kevin Cassidy. She was also cherished by her family, and cherished her extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Janet's wishes were for donations to be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
