He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleota Halbert and Leslie Halbert Sr.; his siblings, Frederick Halbert Sr. and Patricia; his brother-in-law Richard Phillip; and his nieces and nephews, Leslie James, Jason Birchard and Timothy Ladd.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Halbert (Thayer); his sons, James Halbert and Christopher Halbert; his sisters, Marcita Hall (Clyde) and Marta Guarjardo; and his sister-in-law Alice Halbert. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
