With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald J. Pate (Lowville, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ronald J. Pate to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his son Chad J. Pate; his son-in-law Dr. Raymond B. Walsemann; his siblings, Viola Dutton, Muriel Nuffer, Earl Pate and Gerald Pate; and his parents, Lawrence Pate and Nellie Pominville Pate.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Aubin; his children, Paul Pate of Ilion, Michelle Tully (Michael) of Natural Bridge, Ronald J. Pate II (Kim) of Carthage and Tammy Walsemann of Lowville; and his sisters, Evelyn Turck of Croghan and Shirley Martin of Castorland. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lewis County Marine Corps League Farney Hall (7429 NY-12, Lowville, NY 13367).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lewis County Marine Corps League Det. #754, 7429 State Route 12, Lowville, NY 13367.
