He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Burney. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Burney (Sue); his siblings, Gene, William and Ellen Dickerson (Robert); his close friend Denise Kraeger; and his nephews, Brandon, Collin, Trenton and Noah. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
