He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Helen Martha McDonald Burke; and his siblings, James, Gladys Lynch, Beatrice Ptak, Doris Wallace, John and Frank.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Angela Burke; and his children, Kathleen Burke Barker, Michael Burke, Andrew Burke and Susan Burke Stamber (Eric).
