With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis I. Gaines (Lowville, New York), born in Carthage, New York, who passed away on January 29, 2022 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phyllis I. Gaines to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her son Brian K. Gaines; her brothers, James and Ted Simmons; her brothers-in-law, Don Warner and Ron "Mayor" Gaines; and her parents, Francis Simmons and Dorothy Allen Simmons.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth T. Gaines Jr. (Julie), Mark F. (Pamela Gaines) and Kevin L. (Jean Gaines); her daughter-in-law Roxanne Gaines Best of Copenhagen; her siblings, Ruth Warner of Copenhagen, Frank (Becky Simmons), Paul (Debbie Simmons) and Chris (Al Crouse); her sisters-in-law, Shari Simmons and Barb Gaines of Copenhagen; and her husband Kenneth T. Gaines. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
