With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John W. Matulewicz (Lowville, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his daughter Rita Matulewicz Buckingham; his children-in-law, Debora Matulewicz and Philip Hills; and his parents, John A. Matulewicz and Teresa Konzal Matulewicz.
He is survived by: his wife Clara; his children, Jane Hills of Croghan, Andy Matulewicz (Cathy) of Penn Yann and Walter Matulewicz of Lowville; his son-in-law Greg Buckingham of Queensbury; his grandchildren, Casey Matulewicz, Courtney Matulewicz, Noah Buckingham, Jacob Buckingham and Luke Buckingham; his great grandchild Tucker John Allison; his stepgrandchildren, Stephanie, Justin and Brittany; his sister Mary Kraeger (Albert) of Constableville; and his in-laws, Clem Bush (Wilma) and Bernard Bush (Barbara). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. (5702 Waters Rd, Lowville, NY 13367). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (5457 Shady Ave, Lowville, NY 13367).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's name to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 5457 Shady Ave., Lowville, NY 13367 or to Lewis County Search and Rescue, 7782 West State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.
