He was predeceased by: his wife Constance Der; his brother David Der; and his parents, Steven Der and Iva O'Brien Der. He is survived by: his children, Earl E. Der, Jr. of Lowville, James S. (Debra Der), Karmel L. Der and Tina M. Der of Lowville; his siblings, Gerald S. (Gladys Der), Donald Der of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Sharon Brown of Canastota; and his brother-in-law Bernard Buckingham of Lowville. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews and cousins.
