He was predeceased by: his parent David "Byron"; and his brother Ronald E. Richards. He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth M. White Richards; his spouse Barbara A.; his significant other Mark David Richards; his daughter Amy A. Monnat; his son-in-law John A. Monnat of Lowville; his granddaughters, Ashley A. Monnat and Alyssa A. Bush (Ambrose); his great grandchildren, Axel and Ayla Bush; and his sister Shirley A. Schloop of Lowville. He is also survived by two children, a son.
