He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth and Meta; and his brother-in-law Jack Haughey. He is survived by: his sister Patricia Haughey; his wife Patricia Parker of Waynesville, NC; his children, Brian Carpenter (John Gordon) of St. Louis, MO and Carol Clarke (Jay) of Lake Junaluska, NC; his granddaughters, Emma and Sarah Clarke; his nieces, Cheri, Peggy, Beth, Amy and Michelle; and his friend Sara DeCarlo.
