He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Meisner and Doris Meisner (Smith); and his brother Jim Meisner. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Meisner (Taber); his sons, Daniel Meisner Jr. (Mary) of Horseheads, NY and Michael Meisner (Jolene) of Millerton, PA; his stepdaughters, Nora Barnes (Joe) of Millerton, PA and Elizabeth Costley (Andy) of Osceola, PA; his grandchildren, Emma Meisner, Logan Meisner, Olivia Meisner, Libby Meisner, Jake Meisner and Layne Meisner; his stepgranddaughters, Veronica Pettitt, Samantha Castle, Rebecca Babcock and Crystal Stone; and his siblings, Carolyn Spencer of Elmira, Alice Barnes of Painted Post, Eileen Durfee of Elmira, Sandy Arnold of Elmira, Carl Meisner of Watkins Glen, Bob Meisner of Big Flats, Howard Henry (Sue) of Elmira and Charles Henry (Kathy) of Elmira. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
