She was predeceased by: her husband William J. Shaffer; her son Richard Shaffer; her parents, Nicholas Zacharias and Alexandra Zacharias; and her brother William Zacharias.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Lewis (Charles), Karen Mesanovic (Edward), Patricia McIntosh (late Gary), William Shaffer (Kathleen), Daniel Shaffer and Susan Moody (Thomas); and her sisters, Evelyn Flower (late Harold), Karen Tokarczyk (late John) and Donna Ross (Stanley). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
