It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas John Helms of Long Lake, New York, born in Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on June 23, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Helms. He is survived by: his wife Julia Helms of Long Lake, NY; his sons, Thomas Helms, Jr. (Robin) of Arlington, VA, Andrew Helms (Nicole) of Arlington, TN and Timothy Helms (Kate) of Long Lake; his grandchildren, Helena, Ian, Emily, Elizabeth, Kinley and Drew; and his sisters, Denise Helms of Vestal, NY and Maureen Helms of Vestal, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made in Tom's memory to the Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Long Lake Public Library (https://longlake.sals.edu), the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (http://www.lls.org), or the Stratton Veteran's Administration Medical Center Fisher House (http://www.connect.fisherhouse.org).
