He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Romanger and Lucretia Romanger (Cammarano); his stepfather Donald Kitze; his son Gary Romanger Jr.; his nephew Jose Vargas; and his siblings, Pete and Carol.

He is survived by: his children, Brian Romanger of Long Beach, NY, Jason Romanger of Towanda, PA and Jessica Romanger of West Palm. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
