He was predeceased by: his wife Robin Narasimhan. He is survived by: his daughter Patrice Narasimhan; his parents, Singarachari Ranganathan and Chandra Ranganathan; his brother Bharat Ranganathan; his sister-in-law Sunita Ranganathan; and his nephews, Surya and Ajay Ranganathan.
