He is survived by: his wife Colleen; his children, Michaela Himelfarb (Eric) and James; his siblings, Barbara King (Ian), Robert (Beverly) and Mary; and his grandchildren, Walker and Raina. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

“I just found out about Jimmy's passing. I'm completely shocked. I had no idea. I worked for Jimmy & his Dad in the 80's. Some of the best people I've ever known. They taught me how to work hard and put in an honest days work. I would see Jim occasionally as he would some times stop in to my place of business to say hi. I wish I had known of his passing sooner. I always enjoyed being around Jimmy, whether working or just saying hi. RIP my friend. Michael Meehan”
