It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vernon J. Newton (Lockport, New York), who passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Vernon is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Vernon's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Newton and Veronica "Hiense" Mullaney Newton; and his brother Jay Francis Newton. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Newton; his sister Virginia Poulter; and his sister-in-law Rita McCarty. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, Inc. (242 Genesee St, Lockport, NY 14094). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist RC Church (168 Chestnut St, Lockport, NY 14094).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Niagara Hospice or DeSales Catholic School would be appreciated by the family.
