James David Dempsey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James David Dempsey (Lockport, New York), who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walden J. Dempsey and Edna Dempsey (Emmons); and his half-sisters, Almeda Salmeri (late Connie) and Gail Sears. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Dempsey (Smith); his children, Jennifer and Jason; his stepson Adam Seekins; his stepgranddaughter Vera "Baby V" Seekins; and his half-sister Darcy Buchanan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc. (242 Genesee St, Lockport, NY 14094). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Parish (76 Church St, Lockport, NY 14094).
In lieu of flowers, donations in James's memory to the Niagara County SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
