With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Hugh J. McCartney (Lockport, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McCartney and Anne McCartney (McCurley); his wife Catherine McCartney (Hunt); his daughter Linda Coffey; and his sister Theresa Bouchard.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel McCartney (Amy), Patricia Darlak (Michael), Michael McCartney (Michelle), Mary Nelson (Scott), Ann Pach-McCartney (Sara) and Brian McCartney; his grandchildren, Andrew, Jolene, Nicholas, Tyler, Colin, Michael, Jennifer, Hannah, Jacob, Christopher, Lillian, Shea and Isaac; and his sister Philomena McCartney (O. P.). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc. (242 Genesee St, Lockport, NY 14094). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist RC Church (168 Chestnut St, Lockport, NY 14094).
