She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Simon Shakhnovich and Sophia Shakhnovich (Zimmerman); her husband Gennadiy Karbanovich; her sons, Dennis Shakhnovich (Viktoria) and Alex Tenshov (Maya Kosumova); her grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole; her sisters, Inessa Melikan and Anna Sokolov; and her niece Victoria Shakhnovich.
