He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Crutchfield Nelson; his children, Tyrone, Melcolm Crutchfield and Tameka Nelson (John Church); his grandchildren, Terrance and Alana Nelson; and his siblings, Leif Crutchfield, Sonja Crutchfield, Ruby Johnson and Inja Crutchfield. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
