With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert E. Townsend of Locke, New York, born in Cortland, New York, who passed away on May 26, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Towsand and Hazel Dellow Towsand; his sons, Jeffrey Townsend and Raymond Teachout; and his siblings, Thomas, Norman, Gordon Townsend and June Carr.
He is survived by: his son Jonathan; his wife Lesa L. Eastman Townsend; his children, Albert Jr. of Auburn, Heather Lason (Scott) of Virginia and Sharon Washburn (Tim) of Trumansburg; his grandsons, Nicholas Townsend, Jason and Josh Kinney; his siblings, Joan Reid of Moravia, Janice Griffin of Florida and Robert Townsend of Moravia; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Townsend of Mount Morris and Laurie McCarney (Robert) of Newfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
