He is survived by: his wife Elyse Durkee (Wieder); his children, Rebecca Sobek (Thomas), Sarah Mehrens (Nathan) and Matthew Durkee (Laura); his niece Renee Crowden (Alan); and his nephews, Charles Wieder (Alyssa) and Timothy Wieder (Jordanne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home (8624 Main St, Honeoye, NY 14471). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
