He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennie Jennings (Akerson) and LaVerne T. Cooper, Sr.; his daughter Jeanette; and his half-siblings, Paul Lambert, Raymond Jennings, Helen Jennings and Teresa Jennings.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Cooper (Hasto); his son Thomas Cooper (Jayne); his grandchildren, Stephen and Jerrall; and his siblings-in-law, Sharron Lambert, Cheryl (Whittaker), Eric Hasto (Karen) and Brian Hasto (Audrey).
