He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank D. Fenton and Gertrude L. Ashley; his former wife June A. Beach; his close friend Emelia "Sue" Beagle; his children, Patricia A. Fenton, Gary S. Fenton and Mark K. Fenton; and his siblings, Kenneth R. Fenton and Mary Ellen Pieklik.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Randall; his children, William G. Fenton, Jr. (Patricia) of Fresno, Michael D. Fenton (Catherine) of Brewerton, Mary Beth Fenton (Tzion Simchy) of Canastota and Theresa M. Gridley of Liverpool; his sister Margaret A. Barbato of Syracuse; his sister-in-law Martha Fenton of Camillus; and his grandchildren, Bill III, Patrick, Kimberly, Nicole, Brandy, Shaun, Tiffany, Brandon, Ross and Maura. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations may be made in Bill's memory to Hospice Foundation America, 1707 L. Street NW, Suite 220, Washington DC 20036.
