He was predeceased by: his father George; his wife Norma Hadlock Record; and his brothers, Wayne and Dean. He is survived by: his children, Dale G. Record (Allison Palermo Record) of Warners, NY and Deborah S. Record of Liverpool, NY; his grandchildren, Mark Record (Erica) of Beaver, PA and Allison Hayes of Traverse City, MI; his great grandchildren, Justin, Owen, Luke Hayes, Kate and Jack Record; his stepgrandchildren, Scott Hickey (Kristin) of Monmouth Beach, NJ and Maureen Geibel (Darren); and his brother Jerome D. Record (Mary) of Rochester, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Maurer Funeral Home (3541 NY-31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Shermie's request was that donations be made to the Sherburne West Hill Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 523, Sherburne, NY 13460.
