He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thornhill and Rowena Thornhill (Weatherup); his wife Joanne P. Thornhill (Misita); and his son Mark E. Thornhill. He is survived by: his children, Michael R. Thornhill (Suzette), Karen J. Hayes (Joseph) and Lisa A. Thornhill; his grandchildren, Zachary M. Thornhill (Tricia), Matthew M. Thornhill (Morgan Albro) and Alyssa J. Thornhill; his daughters, Kali J. Hayes and Jenna D. Hayes; his great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mitchell and Kelsey; and his sister Beverly Gilbert. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at the Assumption Cemetery (2401 Court St, Syracuse, NY 13208).
