He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Henning (Wojick) and Frederick Henning; his son John Michael Henning; and his brother Frederick Henning. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Henning (Gaus); his children, Eleanor Rumpel (Robert Bordeaux) of New Bern, NC and Robert M. Henning, Jr. (Kelly) of Liverpool, NY; his brother Albert Henning (Susanne) of LaFayette, NY; and his grandchildren, Garret Smorol (Caroline), Krista Henning, Erik Henning (Julie), Kendal, Gracie, Cole Henning and Jacob Henning. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
