He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Mills and Helen Mills; and his brothers, David and Randy Mills. He is survived by: his daughter Kristina M. Wescott; his close friend Jessica Carr; his siblings, Eugene Mills (Cheryl), Cindy Clarke (Alson) and Lori Fisher (Michael); his sister-in-law Shirley Mills; and his grandchildren, Devin, Troy and Kristian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. (1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208).
