He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. Raymond J. McCarthy and Margaret Dugan McCarthy; his wife Carolyn DeMatteo McCarthy; his children, Patrick J. McCarthy of Malvern, PA, Colleen Derks (William) of Cary, NC and Meredith Andrews (Troy) of Cicero, NY; his brothers, Joseph V. McCarthy (Maureen) and David J. McCarthy (Mary); and his grandchildren, Torri Derks, Cameron McCarthy, Drew McCarthy, Gannon Andrews, Keaton Derks, Jackson Andrews, Cooper Derks and Killian McCarthy.
Ray has made an anatomical donation to Upstate Medical University. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
