He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Domenic Jonientz and Rosalie Hattie Sonsalla; his wife Mary; his siblings, Julianna Olsen, Frank and Rose Reschke; and his son-in-law Dennis Vallelunga.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Jonientz (John Noppa), Jeanne Merulla (Charles) and Rosemary Jonientz; and his grandchildren, Jessica Merulla (Joe Barrile), Matthew Merulla (Antonio), Julia Merulla (Bryan Bratos) and Nina Canestrari (Brian). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. (300 2nd St, Liverpool, NY 13088). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Epiphany Church (1001 Tulip St, Liverpool, NY 13088).
