He was predeceased by: his spouse Marion Colella; his siblings, Michael Colella and Theresea Stapleton (Don); and his parents, Mary Colella and Antonio Colella.

He is survived by: his children, Guy Colella (Linda), Keith Colella (Daisy), Randy Colella (Linda) and Heidi McGlory (Michael); his grandchildren, Joseph, Isabel, Suzanne, Cecelia, Melissa, Lauren and Kristin; his niece Karen Szakley; and his nephew Andy Stapleton. He is also survived by many great nephews, nieces and cousins.
