She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Willard M. Axtmann; her sons, Robert P. Axtmann of Minnesota and Richard P. Axtmann of Florida; her grandchildren, Richard W. Axtmann, Christina Mackay, Emily Kuisle (Patrick) and Sarah Axtmann (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Rhiannon, Matthew, Logan, Virginia "Ginny", Whitney, Lucy and Paul.
