He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Downing and Mary Downing (Scott); and his siblings, Jack, Donald Downing and Patricia Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Downing; his children, Howard Downing Jr., Connie Downing and Noel (Thomas Drumm); his brother Alan Downing (Kathy); his sisters-in-law, Betty and Beverly Downing; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Sabrina, Vanessa, Quinton and Colton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
