He is survived by: his children, Anne Humphrey of Torrington, CT, Donald M. Dear (Beth) of Chandler, AZ, Joan Dear-Houseman (Claude) of Chittenango, NY and James Dear (Jen) of Scottsdale, AZ; his granddaughters, Lauren Battersby (Adam) of Norwalk, CT, Lindsay Collette (Christopher) of Morris, CT, Chloe Houseman of Philadelphia, PA and Alison Houseman of Atlanta, GA; and his great grandchildren, AJ and Evelyn Battersby.
