Catherine (Malara) Principato Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine (Malara) Principato of Liverpool, New York, who passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nunzio Malara and Serafina Malara (Spampinato); her husband Joseph "Jitterbug" Principato; and her brothers, Dominick, Sam and Nunzio.
She is survived by: her children, Sara Sangster (Thomas) of Liverpool, JoAnn Meyers (John) of Liverpool, Lisa Burbank (Rob) of Newtown, CT and Peter Principato of Liverpool; her grandchildren, David Earl (Amy), Jeffrey, Gina Meyers, Kyle, Eric and Alex Burbank; her great grandchildren, Harlow and Wyatt Earl; her sister Palma Madonna of Anna, TX; and her siblings-in-law, Gemina Principato, Virginia Malara and Frank Principato. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of our mother to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of CNY.
