He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert Randall Ellis III of Cattaraugus, NY; his brother Norman Ellis of Little Valley, NY; his stepdaughter Melissa Chwala-Bell; his brother-in-law Jeffrey Stuckey; and his brother Bob Webb.

He is survived by: his close friend Colette Chwala Kolb of Gowanda; his daughters, Rebecca Mustard (Robert) of Hamburg, NY and Hannah Peiz of Lake City, PA.; his grandchildren, Takoda, Mauricio and Maya; his mother Christel B Ellis of Cattaraugus; and his siblings, Wallissa Heim, Little Valley, Pamela Edwards (Sparkie) of Waterford, PA, Gilbert Randall Ellis IV (Elaine), Vincent Ellis of Cheyenne, WY, Melanie Horning (Richard), Valerie Stuckey, Joseph Ellis (Angela), Evangeline Frentz (Gary) and David Ellis (Kim). He is also survived by nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to the Cattaraugus Ambulance or Gowanda Ambulance Service.
