It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera C. Sharpe of Little Genesee, New York, born in Lyons, New York, who passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earle Gunsolus and Jane Hill Gunsolus; her husbands, DuMont Baker and Earl W. Sharpe; her stepdaughter Joyce Elowsky; and her siblings, Marie Brooks and John Gunsolus.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Gardner (late Bruce "Red") of Little Genesee and Lee Baker (Pamela) of Belleville, IL; her stepchildren, Diane Jarvis of Riverview, FL, Curtis Sharpe of Buffalo and Wayne Sharpe of Grand Island; her granddaughter Heather Baker of House Springs, MO; her stepgrandson John Lockwood (Jean); and her stepgreat-grandson Hunter Lockwood of Texas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
