She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Allen and Catherine Van Allen (Keefe); her husband Peter Usselmann; her brothers, Jere Van Allen and William Van Allen; and her siblings-in-law, Fred Markwardt, Walter Crawford and Carol Van Allen.
She is survived by: her children, John Usselmann (Debbie) of Arcadia, Daniel Usselmann (Ania Babiarz) of Bartlett, Illinois., Kristen Culpepper (Christopher) of Beech Island and Terese Cargen (Robert) of Salisbury; her siblings, Francis Van Allen of Falmouth and Kathe Markwardt of Mohawk; her in-laws, Theresa Van Allen, Lois Van Allen, Mary Crawford, Louis and Jane Pinto; her grandchildren, Maya, Jacob, Claire Cargen, Brandon, Kelly, Alyssa, Jamie Culpepper, Riley, Alexis, Ryan Usselmann and Michael Usselmann; her great grandchild Phoebe Wright; and her close friend Bob Williams. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Enea Family Funeral Home (24 W Monroe St, Little Falls, NY 13365). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (763 E Main St, Little Falls, NY 13365-1654).
In lieu of floral offerings, expressions of sympathy may be in the form of mass cards and prayers offered for Karen to Holy Family Parish Little Falls/St. Joseph's Catholic Church Dolgeville. Memorial contributions may also be made to Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department.
