He was predeceased by: his brother Rocco "Squirrel" Scarano; and his godson Joseph Clauss. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Scarano and John Scarano (Jennifer Scarano); his siblings, Phillip Scarano (Marchell) and Carolyn Clauss (Joe); his grandchildren, Abbigaill Debra, John Matthew, Melanie Rose and Gracelynn May; and his nieces and nephews, Jenny (Austin O'Connell), Julie (Michael Debrossy), Emily (Ryan Zuccaro), Jonni Scarano (Brian McAfee), Dr. Phillip Scarano (Jeannie Marie Scarano), Rocco Clauss and Patrick Clauss (Kyra Clauss). He is also survived by neighbors and friends.
