He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Charles and Marion Wood (Clancey); his son Jesse Wood; his grandson James Newkirk; his siblings, Walter Charles Wood, Willard Wood, Marge Angus, Mike Wood, Shirley Bulch, Edna Mundorff and Peggy Shafer; his sister-in-law Amelia Wood; and his pet Cherokee Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Ott; his children, Donna Wood of Ilion, Connie Shepherd (Lynn) of Ilion and Joseph Martin (Rebecca) of West Winfield, NY; his brother Harley Earl Wood (Marsha) of Frankfort; and his stepchildren, Robert Johnson (Nancy), Faye Trinkle (Ed) of Coxsackie, Beth Richards (Darrin) of Mayfield and Vera Johnson (Rich) of Johnstown. He is also survived by children, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
