He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Howell and Beatrice Howell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Howell; his children, Lisa Smith (Howell) and Mark Howell (Raquel); his son-in-law Michael Smith; his pet Barney; his grandchildren, Brittani, Brianna Linsey (Jake) and Karlee (Kyle); his sister Winona Verburg (Bob); and his sister-in-law Maureen Price.

The family requests that donations be made to the Killawog Methodist Church, 615 Jennings Creek Road, Marathon, NY 13803.
