He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore J. Burnett and Ruth G. Burnett Sr. (Blackmer); and his brother Theodore J. "Ted" Burnett. He is survived by: his siblings, Janice LaRue (Timothy) of Pawling, Lonna Burnett of Norfolk, Timothy Burnett (Kelly) of Norfolk, Donald and Peggysue Burnett of Winthrop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
