He was predeceased by: his mother Beatrice Beaman; his daughter Mary Naylor; his grandsons, Joshua Liller and Daniel Taft; and his sister Erma Jean Tammen.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Stickler of Lindley; his sons, Robert Taft Jr. of Corning, James Taft (Tracy) of Howard and Timothy Taft of Montour Falls; and his nieces, Rhonda Jean Goodell and Karen Shutt. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
