He was predeceased by: his wife Janet (Jones); his daughter Theresa Miles; his former wife Carol Pete; and his brothers, Archangelo (Arky), Joseph, John, Albert and Leonard.

He is survived by: his parents, Loretto Philip and Josephine Philip (Franza); his significant other Mary Thomas of Lindley; his children, Cheryl Rowe (William) of Corning, Denise Fish (Brian) of Tioga, PA, Michael Philip (Lisa) of Lan, Francis Philip, II (Teresa) of Corning and Charles Philip (Marilyn) of Corning; his sister Sally Johnson (Jim Green) of Naples, FL; and his son-in-law Paul Miles of Utica. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
