We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2024, at the age of 89, John Joseph Galllagher Sr. (Lindenhurst, New York), born in Maspeth, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Joseph Galllagher Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gallagher and Mary Gallagher; and his son James. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Mohnhaupt); and his children, Mary Rodriguez (Michael), Barbara Manion (John), John Jr. (Ursula), Frances Danaher (Patrick), Joseph (Rachel), Margaret Lilly (Jacques) and Bridget Matheson (late Martyn). He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home (424 S Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY 11757). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 9:45 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help R. C. Church (210 S Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY 11757).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities are appreciated.
